Problem Statement

For individuals with dietary restrictions, allergies, dietary needs or nutritional needs, it is difficult for them to decide what to eat and what to avoid.

So, our team decided to create an app powered by AI to tackle all those needs and goals.

PlateMate

An app where users can build a personalized profile or profiles for all those under their care.

Some key features include:

• AI generated recipes with or without picture of ingredients

• Scanner with AI integration to assist users in restaurants, home, or when doing groceries

• Health & food log to record daily calorie intake and view a summarized health report

Through the critiques, we got more insights about how to better utilize AI for the integration. Things like, voice commands for a hands-free experience, having AI guide the user through cooking for recipes, and many more.
